Building Process

Initial Meeting

It all starts with a meeting. When you are ready for consultation, we will sit down with you as often as you require, and discuss your plan and vision.

  • Discuss design
  • Discuss project aesthetics
  • Budget requirements/overview
  • Overall wish list (from most to least important)
  • Property search

If you already have a lot where you’d like to build, we can design a home that will work with the land and complement the neighbourhood. If you need hand with finding the property, we can help negotiate the purchase, take care of the demolition, ensure zoning and permits are all in place, and coordinate the rest.

Drawings

We may require some of the following drawings. We have access to architects and engineers to make it happen.

  • Working drawings
  • Heat loss/gain drawings
  • Engineering drawings
  • Water management drawings
  • Design drawings
  • City plan drawings
  • Survey drawings

City Permits

Depending on your scope of work, we will review the City requirements, and work towards obtaining the Building Permit to meet your timeframe.

Contract

Hun Contracting provides the following detailed contract, outlining the following:

  • Scope of work

  • Payment plan
  • Fixed costing

Construction
